She chuckled lightly. “I believe that no matter how small a part of a universe the Doctor is, he will always touch lives. That’s just the way he is. It’s a part of him.” She leaned back against the TARDIS. “So, what do you want to do now, Aaron? Anything interesting you want to show me?”
*Aaron tilted his head slightly and looked up in thought.* Well, question is what haven’t you seen? Well, clearly not everything since the whole of creation is incomprehensibly huge, BUT…what I could I possibly show someone who has traveled with the Doctor? I have a Tardis that can travel literally anywhere. I’v watched the fall of Hitler, I was there when they nailed Christ to a Cross (at a distance of course.), I cried at Abraham Lincolns funeral, but I’v also fought Giant Robots along side a Blue Hedgehog, got cooking lessons from Hobbits, sailed the Grand Line, and gotten tipsy with Captain Jack Sparrow. What do you want to see, Rose Tyler? I will warn you though, just like eveything else…these worlds have fixed points. If we change anything…it could have a serious effect on anything and everything outside that universe.
She furrowed her brow, trying to think of anywhere that she could go. She knew where she wanted to go. But she was pretty sure that a decision like that would endanger Harriet’s very existence, and she had already promised that she wouldn’t do anything like that. “Well, I suppose… I’ve always liked castles… the kind that don’t have werewolves, mind you.” She smiled softly. “Think you can manage that, time lord?”
Things had been weird for the last couple of years. Lucky for Lill, most of the weird had happened across the pond, in the United Kingdom. Lucky, until her boss had decided that one of the employees was going to move to England to lead the newly opened departement there. Since all her colleagues had families, and Lill was the only one to not leave anybody behind, she had been the main choice. A little reluctant, she’d accepted it, promising herself she would take a two week holiday in France during Christmas.
So there she was, with two suitcases with essentials, standing on London Heathrow airport, hoping she would quickly find a taxi to her new place. Stepping out the door, she took up a quick pace towards where the taxis were waiting for passengers. Her eyes on the black cars ahead, she didn’t look where she was going, running straight into a woman. “Oh shit, I’m sorry!” She let go of her suitcases quickly, to grab hold of the blonde’s sleeve, in case she lost her balance. “You okay?”
Rose was glad to find herself back in London for once. Familiar surroundings were a blessing she had learned to count lately. When the other woman ran into her she looked over, startled. She smiled at the woman’s accent. “American, yeah? Welcome.” She shook her head. “‘m fine. I’ve dealt with a lot worse than a bit o’ a bump. Don’t worry about it. So, business or pleasure?” she asked conversationally as she hailed a cab for the woman.
She smiled. “Current is sor’ of a relevant term when you’re a time traveler.” She bit her lip. “But I suppose it doesn’t really matter all tha’ much.” She shrugged and leaned back against a wall. “Say, you wanna go on a bit o’ an adventure?” She pulled a small tech-y looking bracelet out of her pocket. It would allow the wearer to ‘tag along’ wherever the vortex manipulator went. “Useful little thing I developed for field work…” She cocked an eyebrow at the woman. “What do ya say? Is there a point in time or space that you’ve always wanted to visit?”Valencia laughed. “Alright. You have a valid point.” At the promise of an adventure, she grinned and leaned forward. She stared at the bracelet, and then looked back up. “Yes! I would love an adventure!” She nearly hopped with excitement. “No, no where in particular. Anywhere would be amazing!”
She smiled and took the woman’s wrist, strapping the bracelet on tightly. Then she started fiddling with her own. “Well, I think we’ll keep it to jus’ Earth for now… That’s the safest option. Forward or backwards?” She looked up at the woman with a smile.
Keeping her eyes on the angels, she continued to run backwards until she got out of the building, then she headed down the street away from it all. When she saw that she was far enough away, she turned to the blonde. “Okay well thanks, now I need to heal my blood wrist.” she headed away from her when she spotted two angels nearby. “Oh come on.” turning back, “does your manipulator work?” she turned back quickly, panicking that it was getting closer to her.
“Define ‘work’? I mean, I guess it does… sometimes.” She started making adjustments to the settings and offered her hand to the woman on her good side.
Rose took the Doctor by the hand and smiled as she pulled the other woman through the mansion. She told her about all the rooms and how they couldn’t possibly find a use for all of them. Eventually they made their way downstairs to the common area. “And this… Well I’m sure you probably remember this from the last time with the cybermen and all that. And the stupid little dog,” she muttered. “John never lets me live that one down y’know.” She shook her head and looked around. “Well, yeah, that’s about it.”
The Doctor chuckled remembering that night and the little dog named “Rose” in place of the girl. She couldn’t blame John for not letting her live that down. She knew she wouldn’t miss a chance to bring that particular incident up. “It’s nice,” she shrugged even though the mansion was gorgeous. She didn’t want to praise something of Jackie’s, no matter how childish that seemed.
She shook her head with a small smile. “Oh… you…” She chuckled. Jamie ran in with Tony then. She went to one knee. “Hey there little brother, ready to go spend some time with John? Oh, this is the Doctor, by the way.”
The blonde looked up at the Doctor and cocked his head. “Nice to meet you, Doctor.”
The Doctor felt herself smile for real, James’s energy bleeding into her own. “The moon it is,” she declared before pausing. “Wait, do you mean the Earth’s moon? Cause we could go to a lot of different moons. Like there’s the Moon of Paravillia or the Lost Moon of Poosh,” she elaborated. “Wait, forget the last one! That one’s lost.” She shook her head at herself before answering James’s second question. “Sure you can help fly!” She directed him to which buttons and levers he was in charge of before starting the process of flying the TARDIS.The ship let her know that Rose was now back in her room, the room they had spent so much time in and changed everything. She felt conflicted about everything that had happened, but she pushed that aside and continued to pilot the ship. She’s fairly good at forgetting her own emotions anyways.
Jamie furrowed his brow. “Lots of moons?” He bit his lip as he thought. “I think I jus’ wanna go to the regular one right now. We can go to the other ones later, okay?” He smiled and put his hands on the controls. “Your TARDIS is really different.”
